I was born in London and migrated to Australia in 1994, after a career as a senior administrator at The Royal College of Surgeons of England. I studied at The School of Art, Curtin University in Perth, Western Australia, and was awarded a Master of Arts (Visual Arts) in 2004. I have exhibited widely and was represented by Perth Galleries for several years. In 2014 I returned to the UK and now live in Norfolk.
Through painting, I try to explore my interest in memory and our relationship to time, and how our perceptions of everyday sights can lead us into different places, different times. I am particularly interested in how the language of paint can be used to lead the viewer into the open possibilities of a painting.
